Course Description:
This class has been developed as a comparison between the latest Indiana Residential Codes (InRC), focusing on the changes from the 2005 InRC to the 2020 InRC. Based on the 2018 International Residential Code (1st Printing), the 2020 InRC provides the most significant increase in residential construction safety in a generation. The 2020 InRC was developed by a committee of building and fire inspectors, construction industry professionals, designers and engineers, and members of the Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission. This discussion=style class will cover specific issues in the code that have changed with the adoption of the new rule and identify issues that may present themselves during in-field enforcement of the new rule. Class participants are strongly encouraged to bring a copy of the 2020 Indiana Residential Code to the class, as Indiana's amendments are now incorporated in the code book.
This class is limited to 50 participants.
